Celebrate Tri Delta’s 131th anniversary at the Washington DC Metro Alumnae Chapter’s Founders’ Day luncheon. Please join us on Sunday, November 3rd at the Washington Golf and Country Club in Arlington. The festivities will begin at 12 noon with some time to catch up with your sisters, followed by a buffet lunch and a celebration of our Golden Circle sisters.

The buffet lunch will include gazpacho, salad, pesto marinated asparagus, a baby spinach, watermelon and feta cheese salad, mojito chicken with a cilantro mint dressing and corn relish and black bean salad, pan roasted salmon with carrot ginger coulis, seasonal fruit and berries, and lemon bars and cookies for dessert. Coffee and tea are included. There will be a vegan, gluten-free option for those with dietary restrictions. In addition to the buffet, a bar will be available with wine and soda.

The price of the buffet luncheon is $48 for members and $53 for non-members. If you would like to purchase a drink ticket in advance, please add $10 for a glass of wine or $3 for soda. Drink tickets also will be available for purchase at the club with cash, checks or Venmo. Due to wifi limitations, we will not be taking PayPal payments at the club.
Your RSVP is confirmed with payment in advance.  We also take payments through Venmo (dcmetrotriddd) and PayPal. Please note a service charge is added to PayPal transactions.

For our philanthropy at Founders' Day this year, we will be collecting business clothing to donate to a women’s shelter. The goal is to gather clothes women can wear to an interview.

There is ample free parking available at the Club. Valet parking is available for Golden Circle members and those who need the service. The Club is located a short distance away from the Ballston Metro station. If you would like a ride from the station, please contact Jennifer Brusstar at rides@dcmetrotridelta.org. If you have any questions, please contact Founders’ Day chair Betsy Walsh at foundersday@dcmetrotridelta.org  Looking forward to seeing you!

TRI-DELTA TRADITIONS CELEBRATED IN ANNUAL EVENTS

Our Alumnae Chapter is fortunate to count among its members women from around the United States and Canada. A roll call of membership can include women from California to Connecticut and from Toronto to Texas.  Just like our three DELTAS, the chapter has three major events throughout the year that give all Deltas the opportunity to share our common bonds.

Our inter-generational celebrations begin In September with MEET THE MEMBERS.  This is an opportunity for chapter members to reconnect after the summer, to invite new prospective members to learn about all the chapter has to offer, and to become actively involved in the chapter.

Since Tri Delta was founded on Thanksgiving Eve, November is the month we feature and celebrate FOUNDERS’ DAY.  It is an opportunity to reflect on our common bonds and values and to celebrate the chapter’s accomplishments while learning about the Sorority’s work on the National level. The Chapter roll call is a highlight of FOUNDERS’ DAY.  In addition, we celebrate with a ceremony our new Golden (50 years) and Diamond Circle (75 year) Members. It is an opportunity to share their common experiences and offer the bonds of friendship across the generations.

PANSY BRUNCH is held in the spring. It is a delightfully festive gathering of members to commemorate the chapter’s accomplishments throughout the previous year and to recognize milestones such as new Circle and Silver Circle Members.

These three major events are the cornerstones of Washington DC Metro Alumnae Chapter's wide appeal to our accomplished membership.
